Set of Three Tibetan Singing Bowls
Singing Bowls have been traditionally used in Tibetan meditative practices for about 2,000 years and are most commonly created from a composite for seven different metals each of which are associated with a heavenly body Gold (Sun), Silver (Moon), Mercury (Mercury), Copper (Venus), Iron (Mars), Tin (Jupiter) and Lead (Saturn).
Each bowl will have there own tone depending on the size and when struck emit a powerful tone. A stick or mallet is generally used to sound the bowl by tracing the rim generating a powerful hum.
This set includes three different bowls and the sizes listed are average as each bowl is handmade.
